Positive Pressure Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying

Positive pressure dilute phase pneumatic conveying is a common material transportation method, which is suitable for conveying bulk materials such as powders and granules in a variety of industries.
Positive pressure dilute phase pneumatic conveying

Principle

When the pressure is higher than the external atmospheric pressure, compressed air (or nitrogen) is blown into the pipeline to form a material-gas mixture in the mixing acceleration chamber. The material is sent to the corresponding equipment through the pipeline to complete the entire transportation process. It is characterized by large conveying volume, long distance, low flow rate and stability. The impact on materials is small. Moreover, the separated gas is directly discharged into the atmosphere after purification, extending the service life of the Roots blower.
Negative pressure suction and positive pressure blowing can also be appropriately combined to form a comprehensive system. Because it has the advantages of both negative pressure transportation and positive pressure transportation, it can meet some complex production process requirements.

Features

  • Suitable for dispersed transportation from one place to several places. That is, there is one feeding point, and there can be one or several unloading points.
  • Compared with the suction type, the concentration and conveying distance can be greatly increased.
  • Under positive pressure conditions, materials are easily discharged from the discharge port, so the structure of the separator and dust collector is simple, and generally no air lock is needed.
  • The blower or air compressor is at the head end of the system and has low requirements for air purification.
  • Under the action of positive pressure, it is difficult for materials to enter the conveying pipe, so the structure of the feeding device is relatively complex.

Advantages

  • Strong adaptability: It can handle various types of dry powder and granular materials, and is suitable for the material transportation needs of different industries.
  • Long conveying distance: Compared with the negative pressure system, positive pressure dilute phase pneumatic conveying can achieve a longer conveying distance and is suitable for material transportation in a wide range.
  • High efficiency: Material conveying tasks can be completed quickly and efficiently due to the use of higher gas velocities to suspend and propel materials.
  • Good sealing: The entire conveying process is carried out in a closed pipeline, which avoids the problem of material leakage and environmental pollution, and also protects the material from external factors.
  • Easy maintenance: The system has a relatively simple structure, less component wear, low maintenance costs and easy operation and management.
  • High flexibility: The air volume and pressure can be adjusted according to actual needs to adapt to different production conditions or material characteristics.
  • Reduce dust risks: Working in a closed environment reduces the possibility of dust flying, improves the working environment, and also meets environmental protection requirements.
  • Multi-point discharge capability: Positive pressure systems allow simultaneous feeding from one source point to multiple destinations, increasing the system’s versatility and practicality.

Usage Scenarios

It is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, cement, plastic and other industries, and is especially suitable for application scenarios that have strict requirements on hygienic conditions or need to prevent materials from coming into contact with the outside world.
