Rotary Feeder is a key component in the pneumatic conveying system used to control the flow of materials. It is mainly used to smoothly transfer dry bulk materials such as powders and granules from one pressure zone to another different pressure zone, while preventing gas cross-flow and ensuring the air tightness of the system. The efficient sealing performance and stable material output of the rotary feeder are crucial to maintaining the stable operation of the pneumatic conveying system.
The working principle of the rotary feeder is based on its unique structural design - a rotor with multiple blades is installed in a fixed housing. When the motor drives the rotor to rotate, each blade will pass through the inlet and outlet in sequence, forming a series of closed spaces to carry materials. Specifically:
Material entry: The material enters the rotary feeder through the feed port and is temporarily stored in the chamber formed by adjacent blades.
Rotating transportation: As the rotor rotates, these chambers gradually move to the discharge port position, and remain relatively closed during this process to avoid the intrusion of external gas.
Material discharge: After reaching the discharge port, the chamber opens and the material is released to the next process or storage container.
Sealing effect: During the entire process, the rotating feeder plays the role of "air locking", which prevents the high-pressure side gas from flowing directly to the low-pressure side, thus ensuring the air tightness of the system.
