Principle

The working principle of the pneumatic gate valve is based on its structural design and the operation of the pneumatic actuator:

Valve body and valve plate: The valve body is usually a rectangular frame structure with a sliding valve plate inside to block or open the material channel.

Pneumatic actuator: driven by compressed air, pushes the valve plate to move in the vertical direction to complete the switching action. Actuators can be single-acting (spring return only) or double-acting (bi-directional pneumatic control).

Sealing mechanism: The edge of the valve plate is equipped with a sealing strip made of elastic material to ensure that material leakage is completely prevented in the closed state; at the same time, there are wear-resistant liners on both sides of the valve body to reduce friction between the valve plate and the valve seat.

Locking device: Some models are equipped with a mechanical locking device to prevent accidental opening or closing for added safety.
When the material flow needs to be controlled, the control system sends a signal to the pneumatic actuator, which pushes the valve plate up and down according to the instructions to open or close the material channel. This non-contact driving method not only improves response speed, but also reduces mechanical wear and extends service life.

Features and Advantages

The valve plate and valve seat are made of toughened engineering ceramics, which have excellent erosion resistance and wear resistance;

The sealing surface in the dry powder medium wears evenly during frequent opening and closing processes, and has good closing sealing performance and long service life;

The valve body adopts an eccentric design for the channel. When the valve plate is opened to discharge the material, a material vortex will be generated. The material vortex will clean the jammed material in the valve body cavity. It is also designed with a soot blowing port to assist in clearing the valve interior through an external air source. It is used for dust accumulation and valve maintenance.
