Bucket Elevator is a mechanical device used to transport dry bulk materials such as powders and granules vertically or inclined. It is widely used in pneumatic conveying systems as auxiliary equipment, especially when materials need to be transported from low places to high places. Bucket lifts can not only achieve efficient material handling, but can also be seamlessly connected with other conveying equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the entire system
The working principle of the bucket lift is based on its unique structural design and driving mechanism:
Hoppers and chains/belts: The core components of a bucket lift are multiple hoppers mounted on chains or belts. These hoppers move along fixed tracks and are responsible for grabbing and carrying materials.
Inlet and outlet: There is an inlet at the bottom of the bucket lift, which is used to receive materials from below; there is an outlet at the top, and the material is discharged from here after being lifted to a specified height.
Driving device: usually composed of a motor, a reducer and a sprocket, which provides power to circulate the chain or belt and drive the hopper up and down.
Tensioner: Maintains proper tension in the chain or belt, ensuring smooth operation and reducing slippage and wear.
Guide device: guides the chain or belt to move along a predetermined path to prevent deviation from the track and ensure the accuracy of material transmission.
When the material enters the feed port at the bottom of the bucket lift, the hopper passes through this position in sequence and is filled with material, and then gradually rises with the movement of the chain or belt, and finally reaches the top and is discharged through the discharge port. During the entire process, the material remains enclosed to avoid dust and contamination.
Efficient vertical conveying: Able to achieve large-height material lifting in a small space, saving floor space.
Stable and reliable: Made of solid structural design and high-quality materials to ensure long-term stable operation and reduce maintenance costs.
Diversified configuration: Different types of chains, belts and hoppers can be selected according to actual needs to meet various working conditions.
Good sealing performance: The closed material transmission method reduces dust and environmental pollution and improves the working environment.
Easy to integrate: It can be easily connected with other conveying equipment (such as screw conveyors, pneumatic conveying pipes) to form a complete material handling system.
High degree of automation: Equipped with an advanced control system, it supports remote monitoring and automatic operation, improving management convenience and reliability.
Easy maintenance: Modular design makes replacement and repair quick and easy, reducing downtime.
Bucket lifts are widely used in all aspects of pneumatic conveying systems, especially where large amounts of materials need to be transported vertically or inclined.
