Pneumatic Diverting Valve

Pneumatic Diverting Valve is a valve device used to accurately control the flow direction of materials in pneumatic conveying systems. It drives the actuator through compressed air to change the direction of the internal channel, thereby distributing the material flow from one inlet to two or more outlets, or merging materials from multiple inlets to one outlet. Pneumatic shunt valves play an important role in ensuring the stable operation of the system with their fast response, high sealing and reliability.
Pneumatic Diverting Valve

Principle

The working principle of the pneumatic branch valve is based on its unique structural design and the operation of the pneumatic actuator:
Valve body and sliding plate/vane: There is a movable sliding plate or rotating blade inside the shunt valve to change the path of the material flow. Depending on the design, it can be linear sliding or rotating.

Pneumatic actuator: driven by compressed air, pushes the sliding plate or rotating blade to switch positions to complete the conversion of the material flow direction. Actuators can be single-acting (spring return only) or double-acting (bi-directional pneumatic control).

Sealing mechanism: The edge of the slide plate or blade is equipped with a sealing strip made of elastic material to ensure that material leakage is completely prevented in the closed state; at the same time, there are wear-resistant liners on both sides of the valve body to reduce the friction between the slide plate or blade and the valve seat.
Locking device: Some models are equipped with a mechanical locking device to prevent accidental opening or closing for added safety.

When the direction of material flow needs to be changed, the control system sends a signal to the pneumatic actuator, which pushes the slide plate or rotating blade to move according to the instructions, thereby switching the material channel. This non-contact driving method not only improves response speed, but also reduces mechanical wear and extends service life.

Features and Advantages

Quick response: Due to the use of pneumatic actuators, the pneumatic shunt valve can complete the switching action in a short time and respond quickly.

High sealing: The special sealing design ensures zero leakage in the closed state, ensuring the air tightness and material integrity of the system.

Wear-resistant and durable: Made of high-quality materials to extend service life and reduce maintenance costs.

Flexible shunt configuration: supports multiple shunt forms (such as two-way, three-way or multi-way) to meet the needs of complex process flows.
Large flow area: Compared with other types of valves, the pneumatic shunt valve has a larger flow area, which reduces fluid resistance and improves transportation efficiency.

Strong adaptability: It can handle various types of materials and is not affected by the humidity and viscosity of the materials. It is especially suitable for fragile or sensitive materials.

Safe and reliable: Equipped with multiple protection mechanisms, such as overload protection, short circuit protection, etc., to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.

Easy to install and maintain: The compact design makes it easy to integrate into existing pipelines and facilitate maintenance.
